Any information sent from the system to an external recipient is put in the Transmission Queue before being sent. The Transmission Queue Summary is the list of all transmissions that have been generated by the system (both items and tickets) and queued to send. The main sources of transmissions are:
- Auto process rules
- End of day audits
- Notifications
- Open ticket summaries
- Positive responses to excavator
- Scheduled exports
After transmissions have been sent, they are listed in the Transmission History.
On the Transmission Queue Summary page, these are the columns used to list the transmissions. The columns can be sorted by clicking the column heading.
Field | Description |
Code | Registration code from item or ticket. See Registration Code Summary |
Destination | Recipient address |
Facility | The type of facility (ex. gas, electric, and water). See Facility Types |
ID | ID of the item or ticket that generated the transmission |
Next Attempt | The time of the next attempt to send the transmission |
# (Number) | Number of attempts to send |
Priority | The importance of the transmission. Emergency and High are sent before Regular |
Type | The kind of transmission. |
- On the top menu bar, click System Management ( ) > Communication > Transmission > Queue
- On the Transmission Queue Summary page, use the Search and Filter features (below), to find the transmissions you want to process
- In the check box column, click the check box of the transmissions you want to process
In the upper right corner, in the Actions list, choose the action.
Action Description Cancel The transmission is removed from the queue Forward Choose an additional recipient from the list or type an email address to which you can forward the transmission Send Now The transmission is sent
You can search for transmissions by item or ticket ID.
- On the top menu bar, click System Management ( ) > Communication > Transmission > Queue
- On the Transmission Queue Summary page, in the upper left corner, click Search ( )
- On the Search Transmission Queue page, search for any string of numbers in the ID. Example: To find ID 201912086625, you can type any string of digits in it, for example, "1912"
- Click Finish. Result: The search results appear
- On the top menu bar, click System Management ( ) > Communication > Transmission > Queue
- On the Transmission Queue Summary page, in the upper left corner, click Filter
On the Filter Transmission Queue page, filter the list of transmissions by Destination (Anywhere) and Type (Any Type)
Filter Default Destination Anywhere Type Any Type - Click Save. Result: The Filter Transmission Queue page appears
- On the Filter Transmission Queue page, click OK. Result: the Transmission Queue Summary page appears with filters you chose
The Last Filter button reloads whatever transmissions the last filter setting retrieves (either the default or custom settings). It also clears the last search.
Transmissions are added to the queue as they are generated by the system. Use Refresh to check for new transmissions since you last loaded the Transmission Queue Summary page.
- To see if a new transmissions are available, click Refresh ( ) . Result: The new transmissions appear, if available
Use the Transmission Queue Item Detail to:
- See the information about the transmission, including the message text and history
- Resend or Cancel the transmission
