Use the System Alerts Summary page to find, view, and print system alerts.
There are two ways to get to the System Alert Summary page:
- On the top menu bar, click:
- Messages ( ) > Alerts
- System Management ( ) > Communication > System > Alerts
Alert Types
These alerts can be generated based on Alert Notifications that your company has configured or based on standard system alerts.
Alert Type | Description |
Account Message | A general notification that shows on the system home page and in Alert Summary |
API Error | Choose the API method (action) whose errors you want to be notified about. The notification includes any code, status, or description from the API error. For API details, see Integration Configuration |
Aerial Ticket Error | A notification for errors with aerial tickets. Aerial tickets vary by company. For example, some companies create aerial tickets from work item creation in custom business rules |
Failed Transmission | Any failed communications from the system listed on the Transmission Queue (positive responses, notifications, rotational calls, exports, action shares, etc.) |
Map Process Result | Notification that the map you uploaded has been processed (available or rejected). Most common error messages mean data could not be read by the system or your map may have the wrong spatial projection. Map data must meet the shape file requirements. See Map Definitions > Import Shape Files to Create Map Definitions, Shape file requirements |
Missing Sequence Detected | Indicates one or more tickets was recently missed and is triggered by a successful ticket delivery of unexpected sequence (only available if your One Call Center supports sequence numbers) |
Missing Ticket Detected | The system has missed a ticket (ticket is in the end of day audit but it’s not in the system) |
Registration Request Processed | Notification that the registration you requested has been processed (available or rejected) |
Rejected Contract Locator Response | The system rejected a contract locator's response |
Rejected Email Response | An external system or device rejected an email response sent by the system |
Rejected External System Notes | An external system or device rejected notes sent by the system |
Rejected External System Response | An external system or device rejected a response sent by the system |
System Maintenance - Downtime | System maintenance that requires planned system downtime. A general notification that shows on the system home page and in Alert Summary |
System Maintenance – No Downtime Expected | System maintenance that does not require planned system downtime. A general notification that shows on the system home page and in Alert Summary |
System Maintenance - Parsing Rule Update | The parsing rules have changed. A general notification that shows on the system home page and in Alert Summary |
System Message | Technical system changes that do not affect downtime: DNS changes, port changes, etc |
User Accounts Disabling Notification | User disabled automatically due to inactivity (not logged in after the period of time set by your company). See Options > Option to Automatically Disable and Delete Users |
Filters determine which alerts are displayed. If no alerts are displayed, change the filter settings.
- On the top menu bar, click System Management ( ) > Communication > System> Alerts
- On the Alert Summary page, in the upper left corner, click Filter
On the Filter Alerts page, choose the filter:
Filter Description Creation Date Default: Alerts created today
Click Creation Date to filter by date or date range
Type Default: Any type of alert
Click Type to filter by alert type. See Alert Types, above
- Click OK. Result: The Alert Summary page appears with filters you chose
The Last Filter button reloads whatever transmissions the last filter setting retrieves (either the default or custom settings). It also clears the last search.
Use the Alert Detail page to:
- See the information in the alert, including the alert text, alert type, and creation date
- Print the alert
- On the Alert Summary page, in the Subject column, click linked text. Result: The Alert Detail page appears
Alerts are added to the Alert Summary as they are generated by the system. Use Refresh to check for new alerts since you last loaded the Alert Summary page or last clicked Refresh.
- To see if a new alerts are available, click Refresh ( ) . Result: The new alerts appear, if available
