Absent User Notification
Purpose/Overview

Things to Know:
Permissions:
- This feature must be enabled by your Irth System Administrator before it can be used.
- Only administrators can configure this feature.
- The notification option is only available if a supervisor is assigned to the user.
- Decimal values (e.g., 1.5 hours) are accepted for notification delay.

How It Works:
Follow these steps to setup absent time tracking:
- Navigate to System Management > Administration > Users.
- Select the user you want to modify.

- Click Modify User.

- On the Modify User screen, assign a supervisor to the user.

- Check the box labeled Notify supervisor when user is absent. This option is hidden if no supervisor is assigned.
- Enter the number of hours after the scheduled start time to send the notification, and Save to apply the configuration.

- Navigate to System Management > Administration > Users.
- Select the user you want to modify.

- Click Modify User.

- On the Modify User screen, assign a supervisor to the user.

- Check the box labeled Notify supervisor when user is absent. This option is hidden if no supervisor is assigned.

FAQ/Troubleshooting:
Q: Why don’t I see the notification checkbox?
A: Ensure a supervisor is assigned to the user; the checkbox only appears when a supervisor is selected. If this does not work, reach out to an Irth System Administrator to make sure the feature is enabled.
Q: Can I set fractional hours for the delay?
A: Yes, decimal values like 1.5 are supported.
Q: Will the notification send if the user performs any response before the delay?
A: No, the notification only triggers if there is no activity within the configured time frame.
