Exporting & Sharing Reports in Power BI


Purpose/Overview

In this article, you’ll learn how to export and share reports using Power BI in Utilisphere. This feature allows you to easily distribute insights and data visualizations with your team or stakeholders, supporting data-driven decision-making across your organization.


Navigation Path:

To access this feature: Utilisphere > Analytics > Power BI Reporting


Things to Know:

  • Permissions: You must have reporting permissions enabled in Utilisphere to access Power BI.

Key Benefits/Use Cases:

  • Efficient Data Sharing: Export reports to share insights with team members, stakeholders, or management.
  • Flexible Export Options: Export reports in multiple formats (e.g., PDF, Excel, PowerPoint) to suit different needs.


Exporting & Sharing Report:

Follow these steps to export and share a report with Power BI:

  1. Export Data:
  • Click the ellipsis (...) on a visual to export data.
  • Select Export Data.
  • Choose from Data with Current Layout, Summarized Data, or Underlying Data and select your preferred file format to share your visuals.
    • Data with Current Layout: Exports the visual as displayed (available for table and matrix visuals).
    • Summarized Data: Exports aggregated data used in the visual.
    • Underlying Data: Exports the raw data behind the visual.

Tip: Use screenshot tools to capture and share visuals not supported by direct export.
