Use Notify Excavator Messages to email a message to the excavator when a ticket has been received.
These messages are often used to give the excavator standard information, such as warnings, disclaimers, or requirements. For example, some companies send instructions about digging around your facility.
Add a Notify Excavator Message
- On the top menu bar, click System Management ( ) > Administration > Ticket Management> Notify Excavator Messages
- On the Notify Excavator Messages Summary page, click Add a Notify Excavator Message
- On the Excavator Message Details page, fill in the fields, see Modify a Notify Excavator Message, step 2, below
- On the Notify Excavator Messages Summary page, in the Name column, click the name of the Excavator Message
On the Add/Modify a Notify Excavator Message page, fill in the fields
2a: General SettingsField Description Name The name of the message Description The description or explanation of the message 2b: Send OptionsField Description Registration Codes The registration code of the company on the ticket (the excavator works for the company)
- All items: Message sent to all registration codes
- Select items: Message sent to the registration codes you choose
Send Notifications Always: Message is sent every time a ticket is received
Custom: Choose the send interval in days. For example, send every 15 days
2c: Message to SendEmail Subject The subject line of the email message Text edit box The text of the message. Use the text formatting options as needed - Click Save
- On the Notify Excavator Messages Summary page, in the left column, click Delete Notify Excavator Messages
- On the Delete Notify Excavator Messages page, check the boxes to choose which messages to delete
- Click Delete. Result: The Notify Excavator Messages Summary page reloads
