Use location notes to provide additional location information to assist users when viewing the Ticket Details page. Location notes appear as a folder icon ( ) on the Ticket Details page in the upper right corner above the ticket text.
Processing Order
The system matches the note to the ticket based on registration code, then location data in this processing order:

5 | Prefix/Street/Type/Suffix | Street: The name of the street or road |
The system matches notes with all tickets received after the note was created (notes are not matched with tickets in the system prior to the creation of the note).
- On the top menu bar, click System Management ( ) > Administration > Ticket Management > Location Notes
- On the Location Notes page, click Add a Note
- On the Add a Location Note page, fill in the fields. See Edit Location Note, step 2, below

- On the Location Note page, in the checkbox column, click Edit ( )
On the Modify Location Note page, fill in the fields:
Registration Code
In the dropdown list, choose a registration code that a ticket must contain to have the location note added to the ticket.

Use these fields to describe the location the note applies to. After the system matches the registration code of the location note to the registration code of the ticket, these fields are used to match the note to the ticket location. Empty fields are not used.
Field Description Address From/To The number of the street address. Fill in both boxes to indicate a range of addresses Place/Subdiv Place: Usually, the city
Subdivision: Usually, the neighborhood within the city
Prefix/Street/Type/Suffix Prefix: Usually indicates a direction, such as North, Southeast, etc.
Street: The name of the street or road
Type: The kind of street or road. For example: Road, Boulevard, Highway, Lane, etc.
Suffix: Usually indicates a direction, such as North, Southeast, etc.
State/County County: A smaller geographic unit within a US state
State: The US state (required)
Note Details
The text in the Comments box appears on the Ticket Details page for tickets matching the Registration Code and Location specified above

Location notes can be imported in a comma separated value file (CSV). To create a CSV file, use Microsoft Excel or a text file.
- The CSV file must have the columns in the table below in the order given (top to bottom order in the table is the left to right order in the file)
- Columns can be left blank if not needed. The State column is required
- All data in columns must be in double quotation marks. For example, the State column must contain "Ohio" not Ohio. The City column must contain "Johnson City" not Johnson City
- Registration codes must be in the system and match the appropriate one call center. To request registration codes, see Registration Code Summary > Request (Add) Registration Code
- If the Registration column is empty, the system applies the note to all registration codes. After importing, you can manually change a note's registration code

- On the top menu bar, click System Management ( ) > Administration > Ticket Management > Location Notes
- On the Location Notes page, click Import Notes
On the Import Location Notes page, fill in the settings
Delete existing data?- Keep existing data: Imported location notes are added and existing notes are retained. The system does not match or replace existing location notes
- Remove existing data: All location notes are deleted before importing new location notes

- Click OK
- On the top menu bar, click System Management ( ) > Administration > Ticket Management > Location Notes
- On the Location Notes page, click Export Notes
- On the Export Location Notes window, click OK
- On the Export / Save as window, choose the location to save the exported file. Click OK
