Credential > Quizzes and Surveys
Purpose / Overview
Enhance your Credential training by adding quizzes and surveys to assess learner comprehension, reinforce key concepts, and gather valuable feedback. Quizzes help verify that students understand the material before progressing, while surveys offer insights into the effectiveness of your content and opportunities for improvement. Together, they support a more engaging, data-informed learning experience.
Navigation Path:
To access your credential design: Main Menu > Tools > Credentials
Steps to add Quizzes and Surveys:
Follow these steps to setup or enable:
- Step 1: Open your desired Credential > Design tab
- Step 2: Click to '+ Add Step'. (Note: if you have not yet created your first section, you will need to do that first)
- Step 3: From the 'Add Step' side panel, choose to add either a Quiz or a Survey
- Step 4: Select your desired Quiz or Survey from your list of Active items. (Note: Quizzes and Surveys still in draft state will not be available for selection. If you do not see your Quiz or Survey in the list, check its state.)
- Step 5:Once added, click the 3 option chips directly under your Quiz or Survey to set the following:
- Minimum Score to Pass
- Next Step if Passed (example: student moves to the next item. Or, student completes the credential.)
- Next Step if Failed (example: student must repeat until passed, then move to next item. Or, student must repeat the current section including all training, then try the quiz again.)

- Measure learning outcomes: Ensure your training goals are being met by tracking which concepts learners grasp or struggle with.
- Increase retention: Quizzes boost knowledge retention through active recall, reinforcing learning in meaningful ways.
- Gather learner sentiment: Surveys allow you to hear directly from student about what worked, what didn't, and what could be improved.
Things to Know:
- If you delete a Quiz or Survey from your Credential, all student results data will be lost.
- When you update a Quiz or Survey and set the new version to Active, your Credential will NOT AUTOMATICALLY UPDATE. You can manually add/remove versions of a Quiz or Survey by editing the design of the credential as desired.

FAQ / Troubleshooting:
Q: I do not see my quiz in the list of options to add to my credential. What could be wrong?
A: Only quizzes and surveys that are in the 'Active' state can be added to a credential. If you don't see your item, lookup your quiz from the Main Menu > Tools > Quiz list to verify its state.
