Use the App Summary page to:
- Create and edit forms
- See the forms you have created, organized by category and classification
- On the top menu bar, click System Management ( ) > Administration > Work Management > App Designer
- On the App Summary page, in the upper right corner, click Create New Form
On the Create Form window, fill in the fields
Field Description App Name The app name is the kind of form created from the app. The names of apps are determined by your company. These are the standard app names:
- Assets: The equipment used to do the work or the assets on which work is done
- People: Contacts, prospects, customers, or employees, etc.
- Work: Estimates, inspections, repair, test, maintenance, etc.
App Template The system includes a standard set of app (form) templates for commonly-used forms. They cannot be changed or deleted App Type There are three types of apps:
- Ticket Creation Form: Use to allow ticket creation for a registration code. After ticket creation is chosen, use the registration code dropdown list to restrict ticket creation to a registration code. The Ticket Creation app template is recommended
- User Creation Form: A form that allows users to create a user account in the system, pending approval. User Creation forms must be shareable (see Form Settings > Actions: Share and Form Settings > Share > Creation Options: Public). When the user submits the User Creation form, the system creates a User Creation item. When the User Creation item's status is changed to Approved, the system creates a new user (Approved is a Closed status). The User Creation app template is recommended
- Work Item Form: Use to create work items
Category Use categories to group like forms together. The categories listed are from all the forms in the system. They also appear in the Create (+) dropdown as gray headings under which forms are listed
- Create a new category: Click Create New, then type the name of the new category
- Use existing category: Click the category in the dropdown list
Form Name The name of the form. The form name appears in the Create Item dropdown list - Click Continue. Result: The new form appears. New forms are marked "draft" and have a red error message because they are empty. After adding the first section to the form, the error message disappears. View History of Changes
There are two ways to view the history of changes to forms:
- On either the App Summary page or the form page, in the upper right corner, click History.
In the History window:
Page Description Form Page The list of all changes and the person who performed them
App Summary Page The list of all changes to all apps and the people who performed them
Click Show Changes to see a description of the change
