Map Notes

Notes can now be added to locations on the DigTix map! To add a new note, "long click" on the map by holding your mouse or finger down for three seconds on the location where you'd like to add a new note. A text box will appear where you can add notes to the location that was clicked.

Map notes appear by hovering the mouse over the note. These can be useful for tips and precautions, optimizing efficiency and improving safety for your field workers. These notes can especially useful when locators are not familiar with the area they're working in - whether it be due to covering for someone on vacation / sick leave, or being a new hire.

By default, all permission groups have the ability to view map notes while any non-"Read Only" user may create map notes. Only the "Administrator" and "Supervisor" permission groups may edit and delete existing map notes. These permissions may be updated at any time via the "Permissions" section of the Administration page.

Map Measurement

A new tool for measuring distances on the ticket map has been included on the map toolbar. A ruler icon button is located just above the map. Clicking on this button will activate the measure tool.
